The health and wellbeing of our supporters, members and volunteers, and of all of the visitors to Laurelwood Arboretum have always been our top priority — especially so, in these challenging times. In light of the current health concerns related to the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Sculpture Trail Kickoff Reception scheduled for Sunday, March 22, has been postponed. If you have already purchased tickets to this event, we will be contacting you directly to advise you of arrangements for a refund should you wish one.
Despite the postponement of this kickoff event, please be assured that we are moving full steam ahead on the Sculpture Trail itself. One sculpture has already been installed, and several more are scheduled to be installed in the arboretum starting in April. We hope you’ll enjoy exploring these new pieces and our array of spring blooms. We will keep you advised of future events and activities as there will be much to look forward to in the coming months.
We are planning for the official opening of the Sculpture Trail in October, and the exhibition will be on display for at least two years. We are very excited to bring into our community the artistry of sculptors whose pieces are in the collections of major art institutions around the country.
All of us at Laurelwood urge you all to be safe and stay healthy during this rapidly evolving situation.
