Volunteer: On-site Opportunities

Greenhouse Volunteers at Laurelwood ArboretumFOLA depends on volunteers to help maintain the arboretum and manage our nonprofit organization. Volunteering is a great experience. Come meet new people, make new friends, and make a difference in Laurelwood Arboretum.

Tuesdays and Fridays, 9 a.m. to noon, April – October
Meet in the pavilion. Bring gloves, your favorite garden tools, and water. Work and learn while restoring and maintaining Laurelwood’s gardens.

Knippenberg Center Greeter
Share your love of the arboretum. Greet visitors and offer information and materials.

Help grow plants for the plant sale, garden restoration, special display gardens and educational activities.

Volunteers working in the Sensory GardenSite Management and Construction
Work with the site manager and other volunteers to improve the arboretum’s bridges, buildings, drainage and infrastructure.

Tour Guides
Being a tour guide is a great way to meet the community and share your horticultural knowledge and enthusiasm for Laurelwood. FOLA will provide training.
