Off-site volunteersFOLA depends on volunteers to help maintain the arboretum and manage our nonprofit organization. Volunteering is a great experience. Come meet new people, make new friends, and make a difference in Laurelwood Arboretum.

Fundraising
Coordinate fundraising activities, head a subcommittee, or work on specific fundraising campaigns.

Volunteer Management
Coordinate volunteer activities on site and off, keep track of volunteer information and develop initiatives to recruit, retain and reward volunteers.

Tour Scheduler
Coordinate requests and availability for tours.

Horticultural Research
Join the research program to help identify the many varieties of rhododendrons and/or other plantings in Laurelwood Arboretum.

Programs and Events
Help develop programs and events for the community.

Education
Help develop educational programs and workshops for children and adults.

Data entry and general office work.

Graphic Design
Manage layout and design for various projects.

Public Relations and Marketing
Be involved in various outreach efforts such as newsletters, website, and social media.

Membership: Help us reach out to potential new members and nurture our existing members.

Grants
Help research and prepare grants.

Photos/Art
Help record the arboretum in pictures and help with displays in the Knippenberg Center.

Plant Sales
Help coordinate the plant sales.
